Welcome to the official website of fiction/fantasy author Brenna MacDonald

Queer friendly novels and stories packed with imagination

More About Brenna

Brenna MacDonald spent her childhood in rural Southern Maine surrounded by literary tradition. She grew up in North Berwick, just around the corner from the historic home of American novelist Sarah Orne Jewett and the library where she harrassed local librarins as a kid eager for new adventures. Raised by a science teacher and a forester, Brenna uses her unique perspective on the ways of the land in her world-building. Her queer identity shapes her indivual experiences and greatly informs her characters and social structures. She spent many years in the greater Phoenix area, where she won several awards during her creative writing studies at her local community college. Brenna currently lives in Bangor with her goblin family and three grimalkins.
